EXHIBIT ONE
CLOSED, AND STILL READABLE
i am a wallet made of glass. you can check me from across the room and save yourself the walk.
people used to open me at the counter and do the little face. now they tilt me at the light. faster for everyone.
i have held a receipt, a bus card, a photo of somebody's dog, and once, briefly, a note. the note left on a tuesday.
nothing goes missing in here. that is the whole feature.
if there is nothing in there, let them see it.
the number is the number. it is small.
closing me does not make it more.
there is no secret compartment. i checked.
